ABOUT THE OWNER

Molly Vaccaro, M.S., CCC-SLP is a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) with specialty training in Orofacial Myology. She graduated from James Madison University with a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Her experience includes working with pediatrics 2 to 17 years of age in a clinical setting, multiple daycares, and in-home services. She has also served adults in long term care, assisted living, and outpatient in-home services.

Molly discovered her passion for Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy through challenges she faced with her own daughter. Her daughter had numerous red flags but each of them was small enough that they were discarded by multiple doctors, yet they continued to have an impact on her daughter’s overall health and well-being as she aged. In searching for answers, it led her to take a 28 hour foundational course through the International Academy of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). This in turn sparked her journey of continuous learning in order to fully evaluate the function and structure of the entire orofacial complex, including the jaw, tongue, lips, and palate.

Additional live specialty continuing education courses have been completed including:

  • Beckman Oral Motor

  • Talk Tools Level 2

  • Simon Says Myofunctional Therapy Training

  • mYofocUs

  • Understand the Orofacial Complex

  • TOTs training

  • Airway/Frenectomy Specialty Training

  • Functional Assessment and Remediation of Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs)

  • Functional Frenuloplasty and Sleep & Breathing Course

  • LSVT LOUD

Numerous online courses were completed as well which has earned her three Award for Continuing Education (ACE) certificates from ASHA.

Molly is a member of the IAOM and ASHA.

In addition to her extensive Speech-Language Pathology training, Molly has a Master’s Degree in Management from Webster University-Pope Air Force Base campus. As a United States Army veteran and paratrooper, she served at Fort Bragg, NC and multiple locations in Iraq. She has been married to her wonderful husband since 2010 and they have one amazing (but challenging!) daughter, two lazy cats, and a bearded dragon named Fluffy.

Euphony Speech and Orofacial Myology, PLLC serves both pediatrics and adults in office. Molly also offers teletherapy services throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.
