Euphony Therapy ("Euphony Therapy," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy. This policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit euphonytherapy.com (the "Site") or interact with us by phone, email, text, or in person.
This Privacy Policy works together with our Terms of Service and our SMS Privacy Policy. If you are an active or prospective therapy client, our handling of your protected health information (PHI) is separately governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, provided during intake, which controls in the event of any conflict with this document regarding PHI.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
- Information submitted through contact forms, intake forms, or appointment requests
- Payment and billing information (processed via our payment/booking provider)
- Communications you send us by email, phone, text, or contact form
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, browser type, device information
- Pages visited, time spent on the Site, referring URLs
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)
Information from third parties:
- Information from scheduling, payment, or intake platforms we use to operate our practice
- Insurance information, if applicable, shared for billing purposes
We do not knowingly collect sensitive health information through the Site itself; clinical and health information is collected through secure intake processes once a client relationship is established, and is handled under our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

- Send appointment reminders, confirmations, and administrative communications
- Process payments and billing
- Send marketing or promotional communications, where you have opted in

3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate our practice (e.g., scheduling software, payment processors, email/SMS platforms, IT support), under confidentiality obligations
- Professional advisors such as billing, accounting, or legal counsel, as needed
- Legal or regulatory authorities, where required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the safety of you or others
- Business transfers, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of practice assets, subject to continued protection of your information
We do not share mobile opt-in or SMS consent data with third parties for marketing purposes. See our SMS Privacy Policy for details specific to text messaging.
4. Legal Basis and Use for Marketing
Where you have opted in to receive marketing communications (such as newsletters or promotional emails/texts), you may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in emails or by replying STOP to texts, or by contacting us directly (see Section 9).

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to:

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal and licensing obligations (including applicable clinical record retention requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Clinical records are retained in accordance with applicable state licensing board requirements.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Withdraw consent to text messaging (see our SMS Privacy Policy)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. Note that certain clinical records may be subject to separate retention and access requirements under HIPAA and state law, which will be explained to you as part of your client rights during intake.
9. Opting Out of Communications
- Email: Click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email, or contact us directly.
- SMS: Reply STOP to any text message, or contact us directly.
- Phone/Mail: Contact us using the information in Section 12 to update your communication preferences.
Opting out of marketing communications does not affect administrative or appointment-related communications necessary to provide your care.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site without parental consent. Services provided to minor clients are conducted through separate intake and consent processes involving a parent or legal guardian.
11. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites (such as scheduling or payment platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.
